A Very Berry Christmas : Main Street Lights
Main Street will be all aglow come November 20th, when the City of Newberry sparkles brightly with lighted trees, holiday scenes, and Newberry’s beloved Community Christmas Tree, which will be covered in thousands of colorful bulbs, strung with garland, and surrounded by large hand-painted boxed gifts! This year, visit NewberryChristmas.com at 6pm on Friday, November 20 for a special live broadcast of the 2020 tree lighting event. The show will feature holiday music performed by Newberry College’s elite music groups, a special message from Newberry’s Mayor, and the traditional countdown! When you head to Newberry this season to enjoy the lights, look for signage with their QR codes that will enhance your experience! Lights Before Christmas :: Riverbanks Zoo & Garden
Experience Columbia’s longest-running holiday tradition as the Zoo is lit up in nearly 1 million twinkling lights! Take part in all the jolly seasonal activities and merry surprises at Riverbanks Zoo’s Lights Before Christmas event, open select nights November 21 to December 30! Timed arrival tickets are required and must be purchased before the event.
$12 Adults and $10 Children ages 2–12, Children 2 and younger are free

Children’s Garden Christmas :: Edisto Memorial Gardens, Orangeburg
The Children’s Garden Christmas is a drive through light display that runs a one-half mile trail through the Edisto Memorial Gardens, featuring over 20 animated displays and still displays, along with over 100 lighted cherry trees! Holiday Lights on the River
Experience the magic as Saluda Shoals Park comes alive in a blaze of more than a million sparkling lights, starting November 24 and lasting until December 31. Take a ride in your vehicle through the colorful lights and see more than 400 animated light displays of all shapes and sizes! Create lasting family memories this year at Holiday Lights on the River. 11th Annual Hite Light Show
Come out for the 11th Annual Hite Christmas Light Show, which spans from Thanksgiving till January 1, 2021! Presenting over 100 thousand bright lights for onlookers to take in, as well as some synchronized holiday and Gamecock-themed music. Every year, visitors are asked to donate money to the “Make-A-Wish Foundation,” which the Hite family show raises hundreds of dollars for yearly! Christmas in Hopelands :: Hopelands Gardens, Aiken

From December 1 through the 27 (closed December 24 and 25), this enchanting walk-through exhibit features over two miles of lighted pathways and illuminated displays. Fantasy of Lights :: Swan Lake & Gardens, Sumter
Swan Lake & Gardens will come alive for the holiday season from December 1 to 31 with a display of twinkling imagery created by more than one million lights. The floating Christmas tree has been an annual favorite for over 35 years and the enchanting garden atmosphere is just the thing to get visitors in the holiday spirit! Drive through or walk around and take photos! The employees of the City of Sumter are behind the creativity and magnificent display now known as South Carolina’s largest FREE Christmas light display! Night of 1,000 Lights in Aiken SC
Admire the bright luminaries lining the streets of downtown Aiken, as the beautifully decorated shops stay open late and offer holiday treats, drinks, and music for a festive evening out. Social distancing is encouraged and limited store capacity may be enforced at each store’s discretion.
Lights of Cayce
Beginning December 3 and continuing through the end of the year, visitors can drive through the Cayce City Hall complex and enjoy the magic of the Lights of Cayce which includes thousands of twinkling lights, holiday scenes and music of the season. Details at CayceSC.gov.
The SC State Fair is putting on its 2nd annual drive-thru lights display at the SC State Fairgrounds December 5 through the 27th! Mon-Thurs 6pm – 9pm | Sat & Sun 6pm – 10pm. $20 per vehicle. Visit their website here. Cash or credit card (Visa or MasterCard) accepted.

Elgin Lights :: Elgin
Each year, Paul and Sarah Towns captivate audiences with impressive holiday lights and creative touches during their wonderful community lights showing. Families are invited to this dazzling drive-through light display, featuring bigger, better, and more lights than previous years! Sarah and Paul are hoping to put on a special virtual tour through each of their buildings’ with a 360 camera to showcase amazing decorations within a spherical view! Open December 15 through 24.
