Seasonal Craft | Nov 1, 15, 22, 29 – Dec 6, 13, 20

On the above dates at Crooked Creek Park from 4-5pm. Create different seasonal crafts (ornaments, plate for Santa, scarecrow/snowman, snowman). Craft supplies and snack are provided. Ages 3-9. $5. Call 345-6181 to reserve; seats fill up fast. View the Activity Guide here.

Make It Merry Ornament Event | Nov 12

Make a Christmas ornament for your tree at Michael’s on November 12th from 1pm – 3pm. Enjoy some hands-on family crafting! Grownups and kids will work together to design and create colorful thumbprint ornaments. Buy the ornament and the rest of the supplies are free. Website here.

House and Learn-to-Turn Event

Come in from 9am-1pm and turn your own ornament with the guidance of a Palmetto Woodturner. The fee is only $5 and all proceeds go to Epworth Children’s Home. While you’re here, see the selection of amazing hand-crafted ornaments donated by members of the Palmetto Woodturners. All proceeds from ornament sales also benefit Epworth. It’s a fun event for a great cause!

Christmas Centerpiece Design Class | Dec 19

The Floral Design School of Columbia will hold this class, where you will make a fresh, beautiful and long-lasting centerpiece for your holiday table! The casual and fun class welcomes you to bring your own beverages to drink as you design. Class will be held from 6-8pm at 302 Senate Street in Columbia. Winter Break ART Camp | Dec 27 – 30

Want to get your child out of the house and have them enjoy art at the same time?  Bring them to a 4-day Winter Break Art one-cola-artCamp. This camp is designed to allow your child to experience pottery as well as mixed media art. From 9am – 12pm they will be very busy creating art. Camp is Tuesday-Friday December 27-30 and will be held at the Columbia Art Center, 1928 Calhoun Street.  The age limit for this camp is ages 5 – 9.  Minimum of 4 and maximum of 10 allowed in camp.  Registration fee of $65 is due by December 9. Crocheting: Thursdays from 10am – 12pm. Free. Have you ever wanted to learn how to crochet? Their instructor will help you learn.

Basket Weaving: Tuesdays from 10am – 12pm. $10/month. Would you like to learn the art of basket weaving to create beautiful works of art using pine straw and other natural materials? This class is for you! More Info.
